Julieanna, always appreciate your clear and enthusiastic responses to common questions – and this is no exception. You bring up an important point too – not only are we addressing the basic 'where do you get' question, but it is incumbent upon us to point out the problems with 'cramming in as much protein as we can!' which you address in the video as well. Thanks for another great video – and graphic! Did you make the graphic, or have you a source?

I found it online and it was accurate and I liked it, too! Thanks for your support, Lani!

  4. Thank you, Julieanna, for this important information. Some of us never thought we could get enough protein from other sources except meat. I have started crowding out animal protein and hope I will stick to it and avoid complications like gout etc which are quite common in my family.

Thank you so much for the information you provided, it was very helpful!! No more meat or animal protein for me!

Thanks, this was very helpful for me. I've been struggling with going vegan entirely for a while now because I am very active and everyone kept telling me I needed to consume a lot of protein. I know there are Iron Man athletes out there who are vegan so I know it's possible but I personally struggle with eating a ton of protein without eating eggs or fish for example. This makes me very happy. My heart breaks for animals who are suffering because of the so-called perception that we "need" to eat animals to survive. 🙁

Frangena, I think plant based protein can more than meet your needs. Gout can be incredibly debilitating and one's diet can definitely influence the severity of it. Tho I don't suffer from gout, I have now excluded all meat from my diet. I also eat no eggs nor drink milk. Over the last couple of years, I have learned so much from people like Julieanna and Doctors like Dr Esselstyn who have proven that a plant based whole foods diet can actually unclog arteries and reverse heart disease. It is an amazing journey we are on as we change the way we eat. And when you tell people you are vegan or a vegetarian or trying to eliminate meat, often the first question is where do you get all your protein from. So stick to the changes you are making Frangena and just take it step by step.
