What would you use in place of sweetener's in an iced tea? I've already started using dates and maple syrup. I'm a type II diabetic and sweetener's are what the industry norm tells me to use. I use it in my tea all the time but as I'm starting to eat healthier, the sugar addiction is the one thing I've been thinking about and am glad you touched this topic. So what would you use for a little sweetness in tea? Or would you choose just lemon and no natural sweetener at all?

I recommend weening off any sweeteners in your tea. Choose a flavored tea or add lemon, orange, berries if you prefer more taste. It tastes better and better each time you do it and rehab your taste buds!

Great video, thank you. Is agave nectar okay?

I'm a 69 year old, type 2 diabetic, A1c of 5.7, within normal weight, exercise 6 days a week. I eat virtually no sugar or processed foods, but crave sweets that I try to satisfy with Stevia. Is this a problem? I use quite a bit of stevia, but feel I could never do without it and its sweet fix.

This is offering me hope, my addiction to sugar is crippling. Look forward to working with you.
